It’s not a secret anymore that Sarah has signed a new record deal with Universal Benelux for the release of her next album “Shine” (it looks like the working title will become the final one after all).

The official release date of the first single "Daddy’s Gun" (although it’s already airing on Stubru and PureFM as we speak) is June 18th. It won’t be a commercial release, but a promotional e-release only! The album itself is planned for next fall. As you might have read on these pages before, Sarah will be in our neck of the woods shortly to play a couple of European festivals and venues in Belgium, France, Holland, Luxemburg and Austria.

Her stay here in Europe will also generate some promotional activities. As a matter of fact, Sarah will appear (acoustic set + interview) in “De Peter Van de Veire Ochtendshow” (Studio Brussel) on June 19th between 7 and 9 AM and in “Het beste moet nog komen” (Radio 1) between 9 and 10 AM. In the afternoon, Sarah should appear on JIM TV Live Request with a couple of acoustic songs. Also on the planning is an acoustic set on PureFM and an interview with TV Limburg, but the timing of these ones have to be confirmed. In the other countries, interviews are planned with RTL TV, Eldoradio (L), ORF Radio 1476, etc. etc.

As promo schedules often change by the hour, it’s hard to keep track of all of Sarah’s appearances, but much more interviews will follow. (Of course, if you hear or read something in the press, you can always keep fellow fans posted through our forum). To be continued...

First of all, good news for our American friends with a series of new gigs in the US next month (Atlanta, Knoxville, Colombus, Cincinatti and Louisville). All exact dates and venues have been added to our tour page.

In Europe, the Shine tour (November/December) is now taking shape. On our tour page you’ll find all confirmed dates for Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, France, Germany and Switzerland. More dates will follow in the coming weeks! Austria and other countries should follow in 2008.

Another event we’d like to inform you about, is Sarah’s participation in a TV special with a mix of Dutch artists and a symphonic orchestra who will bring a variety of songs around the themes of youth, love and departure. The recording of this show will take place in Theater t’Spant in Bussum on September 9th at 20.00 h. Sarah wil only bring a couple of songs, but tickets for this show are pretty affordable (7.50 euro). More info and tickets : www.topticketline.nl (search for : een nieuwe jas – live).

Ein Konzert muss dieses Jahr genügen, die neuen Songs überzeugen mich nämlich überhaupt noch nicht.

Nach Frankfurt werde ich wohl fahren, das liegt ja quasi um die Ecke (solange die Tickets unter 20 EUR bleiben, mehr möchte ich ungerne ausgeben) - die anderen Locatins sind mir zu weit und wenn Sarah in Köln spielt, bin ich in Berlin.

High time for a general update on Sarahs new release and future Street team activities !

Since our latest newsletter, several deals have been signed to release Shine in different European countries other than the Benelux. Consequently, the album will be released at different dates in different European countries.
In France, the release is planned on October 9th.
In Germany, Austria and Switzerland the release date is October 19th.

In the Benelux, the situation is a bit more complicated. The official release, planned on September 28th, will be pushed back to November 2nd... The reason for this delay has all to do with an amazing marketing opportunity which you will hear about very soon. You wont be disappointed, believe us, the only thing we ask you is to have a little bit of patience !

As for the street team meetings, we can tell you they will all take place between October 8 and approximately October 18. The only street team meeting we can already confirm is the one in France. It will take place on October 8th in Paris. Some of you might already have heard about a private show case in Paris... well, this exclusive live session will be combined with a street team meeting.
Same kind of meetings will take place in the other above mentioned countries, but at this very moment dates havent been confirmed yet.

For the very first time since the split of k's Choice, Sarah and Gert will share the same stage during Sarah's upcoming European tour !!! As a matter of fact, Woodface, Gert's band, wil open for Sarah in Luxemburg on November 28th! Sarah and Gert already confirmed this will be a special night for both of them !! Be sure not to miss it...



Also confirmed are a couple of new official release dates : Germany, Austria, Switzerland : November 23 - Israel : November 13 - USA : November 2.

Nur schade, dass man das neue Woodface Album hierzulande noch nirgends kaufen oder bestellen kann - ich hätte da gerne mal reingehört.
Ob sich Sarah mit der Aktion einen Gefallen tut? Da merkt man doch den musikalischen Unterschied zugunsten Gert's Band noch viel direkter

The US mini tour of Sarah and Gert in the States has been completed with a fifth and final concert in Knoxville and also Sarah’s second leg of the European Shine tour has now been confirmed. But before hitting Europe, Sarah and band will tour South Africa during the last two weeks of April !!! And, there’s more to come as we will announce approximately 25 theatre shows for November and December very soon. See our tour page for all details.
